Tactical Project
Application
This
two day program strikes at
the heart of project risk decisions and provides easy to use effective
techniques for measuring and modeling the overall project risk.
This program is designed to help you identify, analyze and quantify
the uncertainties affecting your project in order to avoid, minimize
or deal with them in an effective fashion. Remember, if you don't
identify a risk you are already assuming it.
You
will learn
You will learn the essential concepts of risk from identification
through to control. The emphasis is on being able to apply the appropriate
methods and tools in the workshop environment in order to better
face the risks of your real-world projects.
- Identify
risks/context and minimize the chances of problems
- Experience
individual, group and Taxonomy-based techniques
- Analyze
risk data to create decision-making information
- Evaluate
impact, probability, and time-frame of the risks
- Determine
the importance, classification and priority of individual risks
and groups of risks
- Apply
several of the dozen methods and tools covered here
- Plan
and execute the actions essential to address individual or groups
of risks
- Use
the decision flowchart to determine and assign responsibility
- Select
your approaches among the 4 mitigation options
- Define
the scope and actions required
- Track
the risk indicators and the project progress in order to determine
the need to activate corrective action or contingencies
- Develop
efficiencies by effectively integrating risk and project management
activities
- Discern
and create useful measures, triggers and indicators
- Acquire,
compile and report on the risks, mitigation, and project status
- Control
deviations by continuing with the current plan, executing a contingency,
re-planning, or closing the risk

This workshop is a hands-on development program for project
members who encounter risk and uncertainty as part of their project
duties and it is essential for those responsible for the Risk Management
Planning.
The
in-house version of this workshop can introduce you and your
project team to the risk concepts and give you experience at applying
Risk Management to your specific project. In some cases, after completion
of the workshop modules, all you will have left to do is finalize
your written Risk Response Plan.
